Are you ready to begin?

In case you are wondering whether there is some fresh new genesis in my life, I just had to begin with that line lah, cos its awfully cool. Nevertheless, it is completely appropriate that it should be the title of my first post

So here I am, penning my thoughts online for the first time in a long time (I like the sound of that, don't you?) Do I have anything wildly original or thought-provoking to say? Given that most of you will have clicked on some other window by now, maybe not. Will I end up achieving apparent fame and little fortune, being feted in my so-called celebrity? Only if I posted pictures of myself in compromising positions (and before you rush to click that little cross on the top right of the window, I possess no such photos, nor would I be cruel enough to inflict them on the world even if I did). Is there some sort of quick wit or profound insight on display here? Maybe if you favoured rose-tinted glasses. Or have sympathy for people in love with the sound of their own voice.

What do I have then? Nothing more than words. They define me, they inspire me, and they express everything about me. So I share my words with all of you who choose to read this, in the hope that someone, somewhere, will find something of value in them. It's been said that there's no meaning to a flower unless it blooms. And a flower cannot bloom without light, or air, or care. Well, this is my way of reaching for the light. I know my roots and I know my needs. Now, all I need to know is the height I can attain.
